Who is Love and Mars?
Hey there! It's me Georgie, a 33-year-old mamma to one, and a passionate photographer.
I specialize in capturing the beautiful journeys of birth, the warmth of family, and the authentic moments of lifestyle photography.
With 15 years experience working in Community Services, paired with my own family and personal experience, I am able to deliver every family, person and situation with a completely tailored, trauma-informed and sincere/ genuine experience.
Birth Photography
11 years ago I had the pleasure of attending my first birth. The birth of my gorgeous nephew. It was in this most magical, intimate, vulnerable moment that I realised it was much more than the birth of a baby, but also the rebirth of a woman. I witnessed my sister in such pain, I couldn’t comprehend, pushing her body to the limit and her mind beyond that. I felt honoured, unexpectedly comfortable and surprisingly calm through the whole experience.
I went on to support my younger sister in the birth of her three boys. Equally as magical and powerful as the first. I captured these moments on my iPhone, knowing full well that such an event needed a memento, something to look back on and remember such a important moment in history.
Fast forward to 2022, it was the birth of my son that reignited my passion and encouraged me to start a new journey into photography.
Family and Lifestyle Photography
Lifestyle and family photography is all about keeping it real. It's not about perfect poses or fake smiles; it's about snagging those authentic, raw moments that truly show what life's like. Think genuine laughs, quiet thoughtful looks, loving glances, and even those little frustrating bits that make us human. You just can't get that deep emotional vibe from stiff studio shots. It's pretty awesome how it turns everyday stuff into powerful memories. The beauty is in freezing those imperfect, unvarnished bits of time – a gentle touch, a shared joke, a kid's pure amazement. These photos really hit home and become super treasured, reminding us of the real essence of our lives.
